Giumri Lodging
Giumri has a few good options for lodging, one of which is a hotel. The Berlin Guest House lets you stay in comfort secure in the knowledge your money is going straight to support their medical assisance for women and children. This is the best lodging in Armenia in its class.
Other than that, there is the nouveau riche Isus Hotel, as tacky as any in Yerevan with comparable prices, and the run down or off the beaten path. Cheap is good, and Homestays and apartments are the way to go in Giumri for budget travelers wanting a little comfort and class.

Still the best hotel in Armenia for service, rooms and price. Formed by the German red Cross to support their medical services. Comfortable, clean rooms with all amenities: immaculate facilities, shower in every room, air-conditioning, internet and direct dial phones, satellite TV, restaurant and Minibar. Breakfast included n/a. SGL/DBL/APT at $40/$50/$70.

Cheap (0 Stars) 2nd floor of the train station at end of International St., No Tel.
Rooms have 2, 3 or 4 beds per room. If you want privacy, rent all in one room. Open 24 hours a day. You need to knock loudly on the door to get them to answer, but the rooms are decent and clean. Electricity, no hot water. Priced at AMD 500 per person.
